Who needs enemies when you have “friends” like Obama?
Centrist Israeli political leader Yair Lapid, a man who polls show could soon be prime minister, subtly and indirectly accused US President Barack Obama of helping to point Muslim missiles at Israeli children.
Speaking about the US-brokered Iranian nuclear deal at a press conference in Jerusalem on Monday, Lapid accused the international community of behaving “as if this deal has made everything that Iran is doing kosher,” insisting that “nothing is further from the truth.”
Lapid noted that “there is no evidence to suggest that Iran is moderating,” and that even US Secretary of State John Kerry admitted that “some of the sanctions relief will go to funding terrorism.”
Israel, unlike the Obama Administration, apparently, cannot so easily brush aside such concerns, explained Lapid. “For us, this is not theoretical. This money will translate into rockets aimed at our children.”
